“You are what you eat.”

We’ve all heard this saying at one point or another, but what if I told you it is actually true. Just thinking about it, you eat clean foods like fruits, vegetables, and whole grains on a regular basis you feel in a sense “clean”. Along with eating greasy fried foods you almost feel “heavy” afterwords. Well wouldn’t you rather feel clean than heavy? Get as many fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into your diet as possible! Not only introduce them into your diet, make them the main part of your overall diet. Include lean sources of protein like poultry, fish, and beans for example. Make sure to try and eat balanced meals! Snack on whole foods such as fruit, vegetables and nuts. Avoid highly processed foods, which I understand can be hard sometimes. These foods contain artificial sweeteners or colors, hidden sugars or excessive fat that no one should ingest on a regular basis. Do not overeat! Stop eating before you become completely full and give yourself a chance to digest your food before going for a second plate. You will realize that you are actually satisfied and full and will not end up overeating.
